Centering is measured exactly from the guide lines you place, and each defect you mark applies a PSA-style deduction with hard grade caps for serious damage. The tool can only judge what you show it, so treat the result as a strong first read on your card, not a guarantee of what PSA will return.
Roughly 55/45 to 60/40 or better on the front and 75/25 on the back. Drift past that and a 10 is usually off the table no matter how clean the card is, which is why centering is the first thing this tool measures.
It depends on the service and tier: bulk and economy tiers commonly run $15 to $25 per card, standard tiers cost more, and premium or express tiers can run $60 and up. See our comparison of PSA vs. CGC vs. BGS vs. TAG for current costs, turnaround, and resale value.
Only when the graded sale price minus the raw price minus the grading fee is comfortably positive, and for most modern cards that math only works if you are confident in the grade. Run the ROI calculator above, and read is your card worth grading? for the full breakdown.
